Another ski season done and a new Fly Fishing season is right around the corner.  Once again the lifts are closed and the snow still flies, and its cold.  During the spring here in the mountains you have to take advantage of the couple hours of sun you may get each day and just get out there, not to say that there are nice days between the crappy ones.  In a couple of weeks my Love and I will be getting married in the wonderful Mayan Rivera of Mexico!  I can not wait!  We will the pastiest gringos they have ever seen.
So lets talk some fishing.  The snowpack looks great this year, all of our drainages are at 97% or higher, so we should have plenty of water to get us through the season without getting completely washed out for the month of June.  We are about to have a real nice window of spring fishing before the runoff starts.  I had a chance to fish the Missouri this last weekend between Holter lake and Hauser dam.  Holy smokes!  My good friend Brad Hansel picked me up in his jet boat and drove us away from the crowds and put us in a riffle which gave us Huge rainbow with almost every cast.  I stayed up last night looking at jet boats on ebay, I am screwed.
When it has not been freezing cold I have been out to the Gallatin and the Lower Madison which both fished excellent.  Hopefully we will be able to catch the magic of the Mothers day caddis this year, its been forever since I have been in town for that one.
Anyway I look forward to guiding this summer and cant wait to see you all.

Take car and tight lines,
Sean
